Time To Fly
After dating for a year by airplane, I decided I was moving to Raleigh but first I had a farm house to sell. I had lived in Wisconsin for over twenty five years and I had, literally, tons of, shall we say, ballast. I had a huge yard sale and STILL had over twenty dumpsters full of jetsam to get rid of. After that I had to remodel to freshen the place up and do some, much needed repairs. I replaced the furnace, water heater and a deteriorating deck on the back of the house.
Things were further complicated by the fact that I had knocked out a wall upstairs, six months earlier, to enlarge a room and THAT had to be finished before I could put the house on the market. I set a deadline of summer of 2009. I was going to be out of the Frozen Tundra and below the Mason/Dixon Line before the snow flew that next winter. It was a big order but I would not be beaten.
