Tribute Videos
Our pricing has a lot to do with our client’s wishes and is content driven.
When creating a tribute video for a loved one who has recently passed away, one of our main concerns is time. Funerals are planned within a matter of days, not weeks or months, so things need to happen quickly and efficiently and since our clients come from a broad and diverse spectrum of society, not everyone can afford an elaborate production. At a time of great grief and sadness, the last thing we would want to do is put any additional financial pressure on the family so we have tailored our pricing to be flexible to the desires, needs and resources of each family. We can make your production as elaborate or as simple as you wish it to be.
Since most of our remembrance videos consist of still photos we structure our pricing around the number of photos you wish to use. We can either scan them ourselves or we can, as a saving to our client, use photos provided to us in digital form, either on a CD or by email.** We can also import video from a number of sources. Specifically DVD, VHS and Super VHS.
Music has always played an important role in our lives. It brings back memories and elicits emotions that can tremendously enhance any remembrance of our loved one. We can import audio from several sources as well. Specifically CD, Cassette or Vinyl, 33 1/3, 45 or 78 RPM, or if you wish, we can separate the sound from a VHS or DVD and use it in our production as a soundtrack behind a slideshow of photographs.
We recommend that a tribute be between 5 minutes and 15 minutes in length, as most people choose to either play them once at the fellowship meal or loop them continuously in some corner of the viewing parlor. Following is a summary of our pricing structure regarding individual services that go into a video production.
** Images provided to us in digital form should scanned at 200dpi or better, otherwise we cannot promise good results when they are enlarged.
Wedding Videos
Package 1 – “The Ceremony”
$800
This package includes coming to the rehearsal the night before the wedding to talk with the pastor and the family and possibly to people in charge of music and sound systems. I will also take note of what will happen and where, so I can have a good idea of what I have to deal with the next day.
The day of the ceremony I will show up an hour and a half to two hours before the ceremony begins to get everything set up. I use at least 3 digital, hard drive cameras, capable of recording 15 hours each. I also use a couple 1 hour disc cameras to record specific shots of musicians and readers or other areas of interest.
If it’s possible or necessary I can mic some areas and/or take direct feed from the PA system using a four track digital recorder. This allows me to have a clear digital soundtrack of the ceremony that can be used in the production process.
I will archive all raw footage on several DVDs, one copy for you, one for me. I will also produce a DVD of the wedding from beginning to end, from at least three angles which captures all the different vignettes involved in the ceremony, including musicians, reception line and any other specific things you would like captured.
This package includes two copies of this production. I can produce as many additional copies as you like for $10.00 each. We’ll talk about volume prices if you want 100 of them. : )
Package 2 – “The Ceremony & Basic Reception”
$950
This package has everything in package 1 and also includes recording dinner, speeches, cake cutting, grand march, bouquet and garter toss using two and sometimes three cameras.
You will receive all of this raw footage on a several DVDs but no production of the party. Just the raw footage from the cameras.
Package 3 – “The Full Monty”
$1200
This package has everything in package 1 and also includes recording dinner, speeches, cake cutting, socializing, kissing, grand march, bouquet and garter toss and a lot of dancing using two and sometimes three cameras. I will stay till the last dog is hung.
You will receive all of this raw footage on several DVDs. In addition to this you will receive a production of the whole party and dinner and dancing which will amount to a couple hours long movie. Two copies of this are included. Additional copies can be made for $10.00 each.
In short you will have the entire day recorded and documented in a very entertaining format that you can give to friends and family and enjoy reliving this special day for many, many years to come.
